The location is good, especially if you want to visit the La Sagrada Familia and the old part of the Barcelona. One thing that was a problem was that I couldn't get Wi-Fi in my room, the signal were very weak most of the time. This meant I had to walk to the reception area and sit there.

Staff and ambience of this hotel very pleasant.

The location was fantastic, close to Sagrada Familia and all the great shops and places to eat. Our room was a little noisy, so next time, we would request a room on the upper floors. But otherwise, the staff were pretty helpful and the decor was cute.
Slightly noisy. There wasn't the option of being able to buy water or anything to eat at the hotel (other than vending machines) - we would've liked to be able to grab a water or a snack.

We reserved 3 nights, but spent only the first. The Booked.net photos are better than reality. Anyway, the location is good, easy to get to any sights of Barcelona and the internet worked well in the room.
We stayed in a room near the reception: always noisy, the noise is the opening and closing the room doors, the sound of old elevator and the noise of bathrooms made the night terrible ! The room window looks out on a mini courtyard, with no view to the street but view is direct into another room. The bed was not comfortable, the bathroom was dirty aspects, there was no toilet paper, need to ask in the reception and the soap sachets in the shower was used, and worse, cigarette smoking from under the coffee table in the room, maybe that should not have been cleaned!

The stay was extremely good. This is the first time I am visiting Spain. I felt people are very friendly and the hotel staffs helped me spontaneously. I am very much thankful to them for being friendly and informative. Many thanks and with kind regards. I will certainly recommend this place to my friends.
I wish there were ovens to prepare my food and a small kitchen. This will add more value to the stay.May be video display of important places to help choose the places of choice and guided tour for cheaper rate!!! To the places other than what is covered by the city tour bus.

The location was good, 10-15 minutes walk from las ramblas.
Really this hostal is pretty regular, nothing special. The rooms were nice and clean but we were woken up both mornings we were there at 8am by doors banging really loudly. The doors in the hostal do not close quietly at all, which after getting in at 4am to be woken up by that was not pleasant. Additionally, the second day the hostal had a family staying there and their toddler was screaming and running around at 8- 9am. Who brings a toddler to a youth hostal anyway!? In short, if your in barcelona for fiesta with some mates and you dont mind roughing it a couple nights then this place perfect, but if u want a relaxing time with ur partner or simply to see the sights and relax im not sure I would recommend this place.

good hostel and personal. i stayed there 2 nights instead of 7 because of noise from the street in the room at night. other everything was ok.
if you are living in the room where windows are faced to the street it will be very noisily in the morning and even at night. impossible to have a rest :( must to say, it is everywhere in Eshample, so choose room with windows closed from the street.

Friendly and helpful staff
The photos on this site are not entirely truthful. My room was number 19 and it was small and sloppy. The heating in the room was too low and the bathroom had not. For me the price is too high for what the hotel offers.

The only good things about this hostal were the people working at the reception and the location of the establishment. I am surprised that this is listed with Booking. This is the first time I booked with you and have been disappointed.
This hostal definitely lacks maintenance. Everything is very shabby looking. There was mold on the shower curtain, minimum housekeeping. The view on our terrace was indeed surprising. It consisted of fans, mattresses, and discarded construction equipment. In the smoking room just next to our bedroom there was a broken-down sink and in the morning the smoke came into our bedroom. Also very noisy with guests slaming doors at any hour. The pictures shown on the web site are misleading and do not show the true state of the place. The rates were too expensive for such an inferior quality hostel. We would certainly not stay there again. Booking should mention that this is a place for students and not families;

To be in a typical house of the "ensanche" at the town centre.
The difficulty to avoid the noise coming from other rooms and common services.

I chose this hostel as the cheapest on bookingcom with an individual room for two withing walking distance from train station to the airport. It took me about 8 minutes to get to the Paseig Gracia station to catch 5:08 am (first) train to the airport. We staid just 2 nights. On a good side: clean, no insects, with window (though window was 1m from the opposite wall - it is only for fresh air). Great location: 5-10 minutes from both Sagrada Familia and Paseig de Gracia. Seems easy to park on a street overnight. It was quiet in September there
No AC (though not needed in September), WiFi only in lobby, no kitchen, no refrigerator, no window view (could not even tell if it was sunny or not). You basically get a cheap hotel experience rather then hostel experience where people hang out in the common area and you meet people from all over the world. Unless you need to catch an early train to airport (like me) or unless you want to party in bars every night and get to your room without taxi I would suggest to choose a more suburban hotel with a better value for the same money like IBIS.

Its location and staff. The staff was really nice and friendly and ready to help anytime. However, the room did not have any wardrobe and thus it was not really comfortable. For such a price that we have paid for the room, we would like to have some comfort since we stayed for 7 days!!!!
